Our previous post has introduced about the installation of Field of Light. Here are again some images of the lighting designer Bruce Munro‘s completion of Field of Light installation at the Eden Project in Cornwall, England.

The iconic lighting installation is situated on the grass roof of the visitors’ centre, it is made of 6,000 acrylic stems, through which fibre optic cables run, each crowned with a clear glass sphere. It will remain there until Spring 2009.

I think Field of Light looks fantastic at the Eden Project… I’m always slightly nervous before we’ve installed a piece, in case somehow it doesn’t work in the location. But I’m really happy at how it’s worked out.

The Eden Project is a visitor attraction, including the world’s largest greenhouse, which was designed by architect Nicholas Grimshaw and opened to the public on 17 March 2001.
