Harri Mäkiaho has been awarded first prize in Sundsvall Arts Centre and Theatre competition which is located in Tammerfors, Finland. A simple cube which offer exceptional spatial qualities.

This is a spectacular project in the context with a bold entrance statement, that an opening in fragmented cube. The cube is split into smaller volumes, where the spaces in between the smaller volumes become a communal circulation space and having a central foyer at the middle. It has a dramatic shape with open light slits as a foil to the solid volumes of the buildings.
