LA architect, Morphosis, led by Pritzker Prize 2005 winner Tom Mayne makes a debut to China, a Campus for Giant Group Pharmaceutical. By its sinuous shape, the proposal has been dubbed “The dragon”. The executive offices are organized in the ‘dragon head’ section while the ‘body’ contains remaining program elements including additional offices, a boutique hotel, exhibition hall, auditorium, library, gymnasium and swimming pool.

The geometrically outline of the building gives futuristic appearance and seamlessly integrates architecture with landscape and water. By Tom Mayne’s fashion, the green features have been introduced into a huge green roof, sun shading devices and skylights for capturing the maximum natural daylighting.
We think the idea just suit to China culture and the recent Beijing Capital International Airport which was designed by Foster and partners has a same “Dragon” conceptual idea.
