WELCOME Chair | Abhijeet Kumar
Abhijeet Kumar has done a good job, an Indian designer who graduated in Industrial Design at the National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad. I like this chair, in terms of the modern form, that incorparated with the idea of human behaviour design.
Use of soft furnishings fabric can be easily transformed into any design form from what the designer’s obsession. The Welcome chair, a sculptural element driven by the elasticity of the fabric moulding, when someone sits on it, the fabric start to stretch and expand according to the incoming forced figure. Once get up, the fabric automatically turn back to origin and welcome another guest.
The meshy material is not only giving the lightness sense to the creation but also the aesthetic apprearance.
