An outdoor swimming pool center by Dierendonck Blancke Architecten in association with L.U.S.T Architecten in OOSTDUINKERKE, Belgium where located in-between the city center, sea and beach. The design seems to be integrated into the city planning that become a focal point and a transitional ‘urban bridge’ between city and beach, where is in-line with the sea.
The project developed as a sloping planes looks like an artificial dune, the top surface concrete roof is in sand-colored and accessible from various directions.
Two large cutouts allow the meadow where outdoor pool positioned. The position of the sunken pool creates protection against wind and sand and become the lawn at the level of the beach.
