Swedish architect GRAD arkitekter has designed a minimal cabin located in beutiful Stockholm Archipelago, Sweden.

The cabin is located high up on a cliff in the archipelago of Stockholm, 70 meters over the sea level with view over hundreds of islands. The landscape is barren and dramatic; every change in climate, wind and sun is legible up here.
The cabin offers a shelter were one can enjoy the surroundings and listen to the slow sparkling from the fireplace in the corner and the wind outdoors protected from the harsh weather.
It is a compact object, in absolute contrast to the landscape around it. From outside the windows has a mirror effect to make it blend with the surroundings. This project started as a simple pavilion but with time it has been developed to this small house, where two persons can live during shorter periods. Like a train compartment it provides three simple beds, one of which can be used as a sofa during daytime, and a small kitchenette.
