Steel Tongue by PIE studio

Miami based design studio PIE studio recently has launched an aluminum chair – Scream, after the success of the Steel Tongue (PIE studio‘s first aluminum chair) back in 2005 (Steel Tongue became a Permanent Collection to the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum, Smithsonian Institution NYC in 2006).

Scream: Design by Bannavis Andrew Sribyatta of PIE studio (Project Import Export, Inc.), constructed with stainless steel frame and hand woven aluminum skin (a PIE studio’s distinctive technique). The inspiration derives from a screaming mouth exposing the Uvula. The Uvula moves down and touches the floor as one sits on the chair. You can Scream indoor or outdoor, at home and business…

Dimension: 3’-0” X 3’-0” X 2’-4’ [seat ht. 15”]
