Paris-based design studio Samal design recently has designed three contemporary products – Sphery chair lounge, Alien lamp and Human table.
The style of which combines both: the futuristic and retro vision on design. I call it “New Retro-Futurism”, mix of retro design with futuristic and advanced elements. I think that the future of design is in our past experience and heritage covered with nowadays technologies. I’m a keeper of traditional creative approaches but with the very contemporary way of thinking and using of technology.
“Sphery chair lounge”: Multy sphere chair lounge reminds the classic traditional button tufted chair but rethought in the modern way with using recyclable soft poly materials. It has metal understructure. Large palette of colours and personalisation are available.
“Alien lamp”: Floor lamp realised in natural or painted poplar polywood has simple continuous shape and characteristic profile.
“Human table”: Inspired by human beauty and sensuality, this object realized in soft plastic with metal structure inside. Outdoor and indoor use.
