Location:
Osowa -a district of Gdansk, located on the suburbs, near two lakes. Osowa became a popular place of constructions’ investments. The building plot is situated on a steep slope (in the north-east direction) with a view toward the lake and surrounding hills.
Project assumptions:
The project assumption is to design two independent premises in the same coherent solid. The project is based on a V-shape opening out towards the lake and providing from interior as many interesting views toward the landscape as possible. Due to the local authorities and local development plan the house has been covered with a steep-slope roof.
Usable function:
An independent premises for one person and a garage with technical rooms is designed in the basement floor. The first floor, intended for an apartment for a three person family, was divided into two zones -the night zone and the day zone. The daily zone is proposed as an open space with sanitary–technical core in its central part. The night zone consisted of two bedrooms, study room and bathroom.
Materials and finishes:
Colouring of the house is maintained in graphite and white, both with regard to the facades and interiors. The materials used on the outside: UV-resistant exterior panels Trespa, titanium and zinc sheet on the roof and white plaster render facade. As a complement to the building’s esthetic aluminum windows shutters are designed . The aim to do so is to give to the future inhabitants the privacy and comfort.
