This ceramic relief sculpture entitled “Hydrolith” was designed and fabricated by Los Angeles based artist Dakota Warren. This piece was commissioned by the City of Oakland for the Fremont public swimming pool in 2009. Warren expanded the scope of the project to include a series of youth ceramic workshops to create artwork for a nearby planter that will be installed early 2011.
Much of Warrens artwork is inspired by water and is often commissiond for public swimming pools and aquatic centers.
