Paper clay in contemporary design: Paola Paronetto at Maison & Objet 2011

Between paper clay and porcelain ware, the unique ceramic art of Paola Paronetto, on display at Maison & Objet.

Italian ceramist Paola Paronetto is glad to announce her participation in Maison & Objet, the International home fair in Paris, scheduled from January 21st to 25th, 2011.

Part of “Scènes d’intérieur” section, dedicated to artistic and decorative objects and new trends for lifestyle, Paola Paronetto’s presentation will display her creations, ranging from sculptures to wall hangings, from tableware for daily use to collectors’ pieces.

It will be possible to experience the materiality of Paola Paronetto’s creations, made with a variety of techniques and materials, such as paper clay and porcelain, interpreted by the artist in a unique and feminine way. Drawing inspiration both from contemporary design and from the different materials, the artist lets her fantasy run free to create fascinating, personal and always different pieces with a unique style.

+ About Paola Paronetto

Born in 1965 in Pordenone, where she’s currently living and working, Paola Paronetto is a ceramic artist able to perfectly merge novelty and continuity, stylistic innovation and the ancient art of pottery.

Thanks to her particular sensibility and feminine creativity, Paola Paronetto creates objects that meet and anticipate new trends in contemporary design, transforming her works into very personal, unique objects realized with different materials, from porcelain to paper clay, from sealed clay to raku.

Her hand-crafted production, characterized by a modern and delicate flavour, ranges from artistic and decorative works to daily use objects, reaching the public in collective and personal exhibitions, through presentations in art galleries and exclusive stores for interior design, both in Italy and abroad.

Alongside her creative work, Paola Paronetto teaches the art of pottery at the prestigious International “La
Meridiana” school, located in Certaldo/ Toscana.
