+ Design statement by UGO architecture and design
The Christmas tree lantern is something you can do on your own using very simple materials. You only need a lamp, natural fabric that easily absorbs water, clothes pegs and a PVC tube. The first step is to sew the fabric into a cylinder. Then you should wet the material, hang it, insert the PVC tube and fasten it at the bottom. The wet fabric thanks to gravitation, effortlessly takes on the form of a Christmas Tree, becoming the lampshade. To preserve the structure you can spray it with water forming a thin layer of ice that glistens in the light.
