8a The Terrace | ASPECT Studios
ASPECT Studios designed a private terrace garden in Birchgrove, Sydney, Australia. Giant black bamboo, one off in situ concrete details and Australian native hardwood creates a beautifully considered external space. Multi use spaces are created by the layout of these well crafted elements. Sculptural concrete walls double as seating back rests and mediate level changes.
Timber benches conceal storage areas. A cantilevered concrete bench to the rear of the garden frames the outdoor shower and becomes a striking feature when lit at night.
Timber uprights and timber arbour helps to integrate the internal and external living spaces and provides a seamless space. The high quality material and planting palette makes the garden a highly desirable space to live in, and look out to.
