Bora CAKILKAYA introduced the new design called ISTANBOUL in the Design SPIRIT Exhibition within the scope of the greatest design platform of Turkey, Istanbul Design Week 2011.
The exhibition, composed of 40 designers younger than 40 years of age, shall be displayed at the Old Galata Bridge between 28th September and 2nd October.
This year’s theme of the exhibition is defined as “The Relation Between Istanbul and Design”.
We were inspired by the seven hills of Istanbul when we were designing the istanboul consisting of seven legs. We have unified different cultures and values in Istanbul where we live together.
Through the soft forms of istanboul, we have expressed our sympathy and warm-hearted feelings in relation to the sharing of differences of one another.
Istanboul is manufactured from lacquered (water based paint) solid oak wood and offered optionally with cushion.
