Melbourne-based architectural practice Lyons has brought together a panel of leading architects and designers to discuss the central theme of this year’s Melbourne Architecture Annual, What makes a home?
The panel discussion, “Talking Homes“, will take place at Lyons’ Bourke Street office on 25 October and will feature; Jill Garner, Victoria’s Associate Government Architect; Dr Karen Burns, from the Faculty of Art and Design at Monash University; and Rachael Nolan, of the award winning Melbourne architectural practice Kennedy Nolan.
Award winning author Sophie Cunningham, who’s recently published book Melbourne details her own unique perspectives on the city, will moderate the panel discussion, and provide insights into the themes raised.
Melbourne Architecture Annual is part of National Architecture Week activities organised by the Australian Institute of Architects. This year’s theme will explore the social and experiential aspects that together create something we call home.
