Jones Sonter Architects won SPUN & Timber Design Awards for Knox Grammar School’s Great Hall & Aquatic Centre
SPUN Architecture Awards
Gonzalo Gonzalez of Jones Sonter Architects has been awarded a Commendation for the Education & Sporting Facility (Great Hall & Aquatic Centre) at Knox Grammar School. The award was presented at the SPUN Architectural Awards by Penelope Seidler. The project will be displayed at Gordon Public Library for Sydney Architectural Festival 2012.
The SPUN Architecture Awards competition 2012 in association with the Institute of Architects showcases creativity, innovation & craftsmanship whilst also taking into consideration designs incorporating excellence in functionality & environmental sustainability.
Timber Design Awards
Jones Sonter Architects were presented with an award recognising Excellence in the use of Timber Products within their design of Knox Grammar School’s Great Hall & Aquatic Centre at the recent Australian Timber Design Awards. The awards presentation night was held at Sydney’s Museum of Contemporary Art.
The Australian Timber Design Awards are a National Competition to promote and encourage outstanding timber design in the built environment professions.
